About this event:
Spend a few hours at Shyanne Clarkes art studio, learning to capture the essence of the sea.
This 2 hour workshop is suitable for total beginners and/or for the people who just want to relax.
Shyanne will guide you through creating a seascape or two in charcoal and you’ll go home with an array of techniques and tricks! We’ll talk through designing a dynamic composition, drawing technique and charcoal application.
At the end of the morning you’ll leave with a beautiful artwork that you can either hang or gift.
All supplies included in workshop.
About Shyanne Clarke:
Shyanne Clarke is a contemporary visual artist animating paint to tell the larger story of the sea. Clarke’s background is in commercial textile design with a successful career of swimwear prints adorning department store brands, featured in whole stores collections and on runways from Bondi to Hawaii. Like it always has before, Clarke is using the sea as a faithful subject to capture its essence, with a focus on waves and fluidity. Clarke’s fascination with the ocean stems from growing up by its waves, reconciling within herself its humanness, and acknowledging its story beginning before us and continuing long after us.
