Locally, Owen is known for his iconic surf mural originally airbrushed on a tin shed beside the motorway and his encouragement of the surf-art community. Owen has grown the Surf Art Expo into a major cultural event aligned with the Noosa Festival of Surfing, featuring dozens of artists.
Owen’s new studio in Coolum is still under construction, but his production of eclectic works is in full swing.
