Katie White is an emerging artist living and working in Maleny, on Jinibara and Kabi Kabi country. After many years of exploring various artistic styles and mediums, Katie found her passion in printmaking in 2018 when she attended her first linocut workshop.Katie’s work is based around a range of printmaking techniques, combining them into multi-media pieces on paper, fabric, canvas and in hand-made books.Her practice is informed by the plants and animals in her own backyard and her local area, and foraging for leaves, grasses, weeds and flowers is a favourite way to start a creative day.
