Julia Peddie is a unique visual artist working from her studio in Woombye, surrounded by an abundant permaculture farm. Julia is an artist, art therapist and community artist. Her art practice is painting and printmaking, including mixed media and collage. She is also a labyrinth-builder and graphic designer. Julia has a BA (Visual Arts) from City Art Institute, Sydney (later COFA) and studied printmaking at East Sydney Tech in the late 80s. Most notably she led two large community bushfire memorial works following Black Saturday (Vic) 2009-11, and a Bushfire Royal Commission exhibitor.
