Rod's art journey spans over several decades but has become more of a driving force over the past few years. Working in both oils and acrylics, the finished style of works are influenced by the subject and an emotional response to the scene or image. Constantly seeking out the lights and shades in subject matter, the artist exposes these to convey the mood in a scene. Works are strongly influenced by scenes captured around the Sunshine Coast, from the beaches to the Hinterland through both Plein Air adventures or back in the studio.
