Jean is a Maleny-based sculptural/fibre artist whose practice explores the figurative form through two and three-dimensional works. Jean sculpts using fibre, clay and jesmonite and paints in oils and encaustics. Inspired by other artists such as Rodin and Magdalena Abakanowicz, Jean’s work investigates the human condition and has been featured in Sculpture on the Edge. Narrative, connection and emotion are important elements of Jeans work which become imbued within the work.
