Melanie likes to play with fire, hammer stuff and shoot things (with a camera that is!).
Her jewellery and photography is largely inspired by the vibrant colours of the Sunshine Coast, her flower garden and the six years she spent living in Japan.
As colour is her “happy place” she is always exploring alternative ways of utilising different colour palettes in both her photographic and jewellery work.
She experiments with different techniques and additional mediums in her silver jewellery creations.
Her photographic work explores our inner landscapes, imaginary worlds and emotions more so that what is seen with the eye.
